INSTANT ETHERNET CONNECTIVITYThe ADDS Ethernet Adapter instantly converts ADDS text terminals, which typically connect via standard RS-232 cabling, into Ethernet-based terminals. With the ADDS Ethernet Adapter installed in an ADDS terminal, users can utilize an ADDS text terminal to access a single TELNET session over a TCP/IP network through a 10BaseT connection. INVESTMENT PROTECTION The Ethernet Adapter protects your investment in ADDS terminals when you migrate to a TCP/IP networking environment. Rather than discard your existing ADDS terminals, simply add the Ethernet Adapter and youre ready to communicate. The ADDS Ethernet Adapter is specifically designed to work with ADDS 4000, 4000/150, 4000/160, 4000/260, 4000/265, 4000/260lf and 4000/260lfc terminals. COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION Many organizations provide their users who access text-based applications with PCs strictly because of their need to communicate with TCP/IP networks. With the use of an ADDS Ethernet Adapter, these users can access the same text-based applications with an ADDS terminal at a lower per seat cost. |
.In addition, the Ethernet Adapter allows you to connect an ADDS terminal directly to your TCP/IP network, eliminating the need for terminal servers and bulky serial cables.SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE Because your network is running at speeds up to 10 megabits per second, ADDS terminals equipped with ADDS Ethernet Adapters provide notable performance improvements versus terminals communicating over standard RS-232 speeds. CONVENIENT PROCUREMENT ADDS Ethernet Adapters can be factory installed at the time you initially purchase an ADDS terminal. Those who currently own ADDS terminals can have these terminals upgraded at any of Boundless Technologies service depots, from an authorized Boundless options installer or on-site by a Boundless Technologies field technician. See the back of this data sheet for additional details.
